Elaine Marshall
Elaine Marshall was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, and now currently resides in Water Valley with her husband Mel.
Having no previous experience, only a desire to apply her mind’s images to paper, she enrolled in a weekly painting class the year of 2000. Never one to let a challenge pass by, she has vowed to master the difficult medium of watercolor. She is exploring new techniques along with new mediums and enjoys a variety of subjects which enable her to hone her design and composition, although her true passion is the western theme of her upbringing.
Since her journey into watercolor Elaine sees her surroundings as potential paintings. Learning on a daily basis to simplify the momentum of life into shapes and colors has brought her enthusiasm for life to a new level.
